Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Calls UN Chief
During their discussion, Dar restated Pakistan’s unwavering dedication to fostering "international peace and security" and highlighted the nation’s consistent backing of "the peaceful resolution of disputes," according to an official ministry release.
Pakistan has recently taken over the rotating leadership of the UN Security Council for the month of July.
In this context, Dar, who also holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister, informed the UN chief about the prominent events that Pakistan is organizing under its presidency.
These initiatives aim to push forward essential international goals concerning peace and safety.
The two officials also shared plans to meet face-to-face in New York in the coming week as part of Pakistan’s activities while leading the Security Council.
Additionally, Dar once again emphasized Pakistan’s pledge to assist the UN and its staff in fulfilling their duties efficiently.
He stressed Islamabad’s strong belief in multilateral engagement and collaborative efforts on a global scale, as stated by the ministry.
